About the Workshop
This in-depth, two-day workshop provides a comprehensive introduction to Domestic Violence (DV) and Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Designed for frontline workers, healthcare professionals, educators, and community members, this training unpacks the complex dynamics of abuse and highlights practical, trauma-informed responses.
Participants will explore how cultural, societal, and psychological factors contribute to DV/IPV, and how these intersect with substance use, gender identity, systemic barriers, and more. The training includes specific attention to DV/IPV within LGBTQ+ communities and the compounded impact of stressors such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
