This interactive training explores the strong connection between trauma, mental health challenges, and substance use. Participants will gain practical knowledge and applied skills to better understand what clients are experiencing and how to respond with confidence, compassion, and cultural awareness.
Designed for addiction workers, counsellors, mental health professionals, NNADAP staff, and frontline community workers, the training focuses on practical approaches that can be used immediately in everyday practice. Participants will explore how trauma affects emotional regulation, behaviour, relationships, and recovery, while learning evidence-informed strategies that support more effective and compassionate care.
